..........The moral to the story is obvious. Every little effort
does indeed make
a difference. When the task seems overwhelming, does one give
in to the
feeling of helplessness and do nothing, or rise up and do what
they can?
..........Here at Planet Protectors we have a favorite riddle.
...the question:
"How do you eat an elephant?" ..the answer: "One bite at a time."
In short,
ALL tasks of great size and weight must be accomplished in small
steps.
..........It is all to easy to stay too focused on the "total"
goal; to see from the
desired end inward. But one must also ALWAYS look from the smaller
accomplishments outward! Will the little boy "save the starfish?"
Not if you
mean "all" of them. But by doing what he can, will he make a difference
to
many of them (and quite possibly to Starfish as a whole). Indeed
he will!
..........Here at Planet Protectors we hate the term "disposable,"
like the
term,"recyclable," and LOVE the term, "REUSABLE." We also hate
"plastic," not because it isn't a wonderful creation with many
valuable uses
(ie: storing blood), but because it is an overused petroleum "convenience"
product that NEVER bio-degrades over time. The specific mission
of Planet
Protectors is to create a coalition of people, dedicated to making
a small
personal contribution each day with regard to reducing their use
of plastic.
..........We all are interdependent "members" of our living planet.
...and due
to the sheer overwhelming number of us, we all must make small
daily
contributions to minimizing waste and pollution. ...And make no
mistake,
EVERY small thing will make a difference! For ouselves, for our
children,
and for the future of all things that are members of our planet
we must do
no less. Please browse our pages and learn more about plastic
and our
envronment. Please contact us with your suggestions. Please join
